The Art Department is movin’ on up. Up to the heart of Central Harlem—with fantastic views of a neighborhood that inspires us and beautiful historic brownstones that surround us. We officially moved office on August 1st and are in the process of designing and renovating an ideal home work space. A dream project for two creatives living under one roof with lots of ideas—and opinions—we are fusing home and office with forward-thinking design, a discerning eye, and lots of good old-fashioned muscle. With more space than ever, The Art Department is expanding and we are growing more excited by the day, invigorated and well-positioned for a busy and productive autumn!

It has been an exciting year for the Art Department, not only around the globe, providing lighting design for Volvo car shows in Frankfurt, Tokyo, Detroit, Los Angeles, Geneva and the upcoming Beijing Auto Show, but right here at home, in NYC. The Art Dept created lighting design and graphics for the production of OCD or The Trouble With Mrs. Henderson, an ambitious play by Clay Edmonds produced by Gobsmacked Productions. With a two-week run in February at the Walker Street Theater in TriBeCa, the show was a smashing success. Set in the fifties with a retro look and feel, Niklas designed and produced sepia-toned lighting while Christie designed and executed the vintage-inspired 8-page playbill. Looking forward to more dramatic and engaging ventures in the upcoming months—as they say, the show must go on!
